it's official...
...engagement pictures have been taken. (sneak peek on facebook...)
...save the dates have been mailed!
...invitations were ordered, and they are here!!
...my wedding dress is in, and ready to be taken to mrs mary to get it hemmed!!
...we have ordered the fabric for the bridemaids' dresses and they are getting their measurements taken and whatnot by the end of august.
...decided on shoes for the wedding ceremony...or actually lack there of for shoes. decided that the girls, as well as myself will go barefoot for the actual wedding but then just flip flops for the reception. i figured they would want comfy shoes for the reception anyways and i dont think i would like closed toe black shoes b/c with the floor length dresses it would look like they don't have feet, and then i didnt' want the height difference to be extreme-which it would be with heels so, i just decided on no shoes!
...decided on wedding favors for everyone.
...we have figured out drinks for the wedding and how we are going to organize that.
...ordered our "grand exit" supplies...aka sparklers that we are getting on sale b/c one of the girls' other brides had extra and we are buying them from her for cheaper
...anna's dress has been bought
...working on music and order for ceremony...which is a whole lot harder than i ever expected.
...still trying to figure out hair for the wedding, getting your hair done for a wedding is freakin expensive...ahh!!
...we have had our tasting with the caterer and the food is going to be freakin AWESOME!
still need to do list:
-drew's ring
-groom's cake (details)
-grooms gift
-order bridesmaid's gifts
-details for smores station...
-figure out hair situation

quick update...for aimee
*officially set up the disney honeymoon registry on-line.
*got a call from the bridal gown place and apparently the veil and the wedding dress don't match-uh oh! we are going to go by on saturday when i am in memphis before JENNY's WEDDING!!! hopefully it won't be that bad and if anything we can re order the veil to match, but we will see when we get there
*anna has her flower girl dress. mom and i found it in memphis last time i was there and then brittney found it at the store when they were at the beach so she was able to get a 30% discount and bought it down there, excited about that
*set up date for engagement photos with starla at camp, july 12th i think-it's a sunday, that should be fun!
*still working on the invitations and deciding what we want and what we want them to look like...this process is much harder than i was expecting!!
*oh we decided that the family is going with an all black/cream route, so that our family pictures are going to be STUNNING, i am excited about this!
*bridesmaids dresses are going to be hand made...the same lady that is doing mom's dress, and mama j.o.'s outfit will be making them as well. she's going to alter a david's bridal dress to fit the girls better, with more of an a-line skirt
*plans are in the works, invitations almost done for our wedding party weekend at pickwick, it should be fun, i just hope most of them can come!
...believe that is all for now, i will eventually post more updates when we figure out more details!

update and registry rant...
so if you are not prepared to read a rant then just ignore this post...
*so drew and i went to target this morning to look up someone else's registry, turns out that person/couple didn't register at target so we were just going to print out ours and compare it to the stuff we have registered for at macy's to make sure that we didn't have 2 toasters or something like that. well we printed it out and to our surprise there were some random things on there and then some things that i added last time that weren't on there...WEIRD!! the stuff that was on there that wasn't supposed to be were some baby mittens-like the things you put on newborn hands so they don't scratch themselves, and a jazz cd...yes these 2 random things were on our wedding registry, and no i am not pregnant and in need of 2 packages of blue baby mittens, nor do drew and i want a jazz cd...so we went to customer service, and had to wait forever and then he told us the only thing we can do is manually go through the gun thing and delete the "awkward" items and then go add the thing that was supposed to be on there, so a quick trip turned into an hour long ordeal...
*then macy's...it was entertaining...the registry that they print out is like a receipt so it's hard to read, the scanner gun they gave us was old as dirt with a very dim screen and drew had a tough time with it, and their selection was not very good...
*all good and dandy until we went to bed bath and beyond...amanda had some trouble with this place looking up someones stuff and i really thought she was just upset that day and it wasn't that bad, boy was i wrong!! the customer service person was not very nice or helpful nor did she know what she was doing...so frustrating!! then she finally gets the registry printed out and it's 17 pages long, yes 17 and it's for a wedding on saturday, yes this saturday and there was next to nothing checked as "received" so according to this print out, this couple has gotten NOTHING from their bed bath and beyond registry-which is very very had to believe...now, for the next problem with bed bath and beyond, and the one that amanda had so many issues with was the fact that soooooo many, if not most of the items were marked as "see associate" which means that it's not in the store and that you have to order it and it has to be sent to the store...BLAH!!! so needless to say they got a gift card....BLAH!!
...now for the happy part!!
drewby and i actually sat down and talked about disney world, oh by the way did i tell you that WE ARE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD FOR THE HONEYMOON!!!!!!

update for aimee...
so this update is for aimee, hope you enjoy it!! :)
*we have officially put the deposit down for the food, the music, the venue, and the florist. we are talking about transportation and invitations right now. mom, drew, and i met with jaime a couple of weeks ago and talked about quite a bit of stuff and we started to look at invitations-which was just stressful by itself. i have a few ideas of things that i like but i just can't decide on one...
*i had my first bridal shower yesterday-AHHHHHH! it makes it all seem so real! amanda threw a shower for tootie and i and invited alpha gam. it was great, about 10 girls showed up on this busy weekend and it was a great time! it hit me when it was over with and i still had my "bride" flower pin thing on that it's really happening, i will go to several more of these things where i am the center of attention...SCARY!!! don't get me wrong, i am soo excited for november to hurry up and get here, but just the fact of being the center of attention and everyone's eyes on me, scares the crap out of me!!
*aimee, glad you got a save the date yesterday, as for everyone else who is waiting on theirs in the mail, you will probably have to wait until after graduation, or at least after next week!!! i am starting to get addresses on them, but i have other things that take up my time right now.
*note to those who will be around me closer to the time of the wedding: please don't let me become a bridezilla...
ok, i have to go back to working on my e-portfolio that is due tomorrow.
love and THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO CAME OUT YESTERDAY, AND THANK YOU TO AMANDA FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK!!!

so #1 i am angry...i wanted to sleep in this morning, and my body decided to wake up at 7:15...blah
#2 i am _____ i don't know what i am, but the dream i had right before i woke up was from the wedding. soooo many things were wrong it wasn't even funny. number 1, i stood in the back of the sanctuary for like 5 minutes before i actually walked down, then i walked down to the "here comes the bride..." which i hate and it will not be played at my wedding, then when i got up there, only the bridesmaids were up there, no guys and so i stood up there randomly, then people brought in stools for the bridal party to sit on, and then all the different groomsmen came up and gave me a hug and we talked for a minute, then there was a girl in a tux that i didn't know, and then there was 1 random decoration like what we are having, but it was GIANT and randomly on the stage, then people were talking, and it was a tiny church-def. not mullins, and i never say the preacher....but then i woke up!
so needless to say i have added to my list that i want done when we meet with the wedding planners so that hopefully we can get some stuff planned so that i don't continue to freak out!!
waiting on the save the dates to get here, i am nervous and excited-i am ready to see them and really really really hope that i am not dissapointed!!
only 245 days!!

so it's been awhile...
so i have spent a bit of time today updating the other 2 blogs, so i figured i might as well update this one...with what bit of info i have...
*to start guess what...i found THE dress!!!! i tried it on about a month ago, but was so scared to fall in love with it. i figured something might go wrong, or i would find one i liked better, or something, but the first time i tried it on, i loved it, it's simple but elegant and just amazing!!! and i went back like 2 weeks ago and tried it on again, and my dad was there-shocking i know-and drew's mom and sister and i just felt that it was THE DRESS...so mom and i got that ball rolling, it should be in about june and we will start the fitting process. we also ordered the veil from there, and it's beautiful, reminds me of mamaw and mom is even going to work on it, it's a "cream" color and it has lace around the edges and mom is going to sew on some little pearls and little sequence-not much, just for a little sparkler.
*drew and i also ordered save the dates, i won't post them on here until after we mail them out, don't want to spoil the surprise. but i just love them and surprisingly drew likes them too...
*right now we are in the process of shopping for invitations and this is a whole lot more stressful than the save the dates, too many options, too many accessories, etc...just a hard choice to make!!!
*we have another planning day for the saturday before easter...we are going to seriously look at invitations and see what kind of deals the girls can get us, we are also going to look at caterers, and talk about hotel blocks, as well as talking about the new budget restrictions and talk about where we can cut costs-mainly with flowers...
oh, and it's only 249 days away...AHHHHH!!

yes, from high school musical 3
So is it bad that i really really like this song, for possibly a 1st dance? drew might just kill me when i mention it, but...
Take my hand, take a breath
Pull me close, and take one step
Keep your eyes locked on mine
And let the music be your guide
Now won't you promise me (Won't you promise me)
That you'll never forget (That we'll keep dancing)
To keep dancing (To keep dancing)
Where ever we go next
It's like catching lightening
The chances of of finding, someone like you
It's one in a million
The chances of feeling the way we do
And with every step together
We just keep on getting better
So can I have this dance? (Can I have this dance?)
Can I have this dance?
Take my hand, I'll take the lead
And every turn, will be safe with me
Don't be afraid, don't be afraid to fall
You know I'll catch you through it all
And you can't keep us apart (Even in a 1,000 miles can't keep us apart)
Cuz my hearet is wherever you are (Because my heart is wherever you are)
It's like catching lightening
The chances of of finding, someone like you
It's one in a million
The chances of feeling the way we do
And with every step together
We just keep on getting better
So can I have this dance? (Can I have this dance?)
Can I have this dance?
Ooooooh!No mountains to high enough
No oceans to wide Cuz together or not, Our dance wont stop
Let it rain, let it pour
What we have is worth fighting for
You know I believe, that we were meant to beeeee
Yeeeaaaaahhhh!
It's like catching lightening
The chances of of finding, someone like you (Oooh like you)
It's one in a million
The chances of feeling the way we do (The way we do)
And with every step together
We just keep on getting better
So can I have this dance? (Can I have this dance?)
Can I have this dance
Can I have this dance? (This dance)
Can I have this dance?

might have...could be...possibly...what if...could have happened...it is very likely that i found my wedding dress today, yes, THE DRESS in all it's glory!!! mom and i went to ballew in memphis since lowe's was closed today and it was the 2nd dress i tried on but the first one i had pulled off the rack. it's beautiful, i am going to get amanda to go down with me weekend after next and try it on again and make sure. girls always talk about having "that feeling" and i sort of had it...like, i feel so comfortable in that dress, i feel so beautiful, i feel so tiny, i feel just like a bride in the dress. i am just scared of finding another dress that i like more, but we will see if i feel the same way when we go back...so yeah, clearly there will be no pictures beacuse drew could possibly see it, but it's beautiful dress!!!!

*changes*
really, it's one change...but it's a pretty big change. we have decided to move the reception location for several reasons but the main reason is the fact that the dixon does not/will not allow sparklers on the grounds-and "the sparkler exit" was one thing that i did not want to compromise on, so i believe *fingers crossed that the date is still open* that we will be moving the reception to Le Pavillon. It's a beautiful place and i will post pictures after our 2nd tour tomorrow!

313 days
so, possibly some bad/negative news.
so as i have said on here before i want sparklers for our "grand exit" and this is something that i have wanted since before day 1 and i have told my mom this as well as the wedding planners. well as they were getting ready to finalize the contract with the dixon they finally asked and the possiblity of being able to have sparklers is now slim....BOO!! so i have talked to mom and if the dixon will not let us use sparklers for the reception then we will probably move the reception...we most likely have a "back up" where sparklers shouldn't be a problem, but when we get that figured out i will post it!
a not so bad of negative type of news...
on MLK day we get to do some more wedding planning. and this time amanda and hopefully danielle will get to be there as well. we are going to start looking at invitations, flowers and i think we are going just over the bridge to meet with the cake people!! so exctied about these things!!
k i will stop rambling now!
oh, p.s. we are now registered at Target for some things-however i am sure that things will be added eventually ;)
